The Pursuit's classic Palm Beach-style sportfisherman is now powered by twin Volvo KAMD 300 IB diesels, neatly tucked beneath the helm deck. The whole deck lifts up with the push of a button for complete access, though there's a smaller hatch for routine checks and maintenance. There are co-pilot chairs on either side of the centered helm console, and another steering station in the tuna tower.

Though rated at 285 hp, the Volvo engines perform in the 300-hp range. They're turbo charged, after cooled, with a belt-driven super charger so there's no turbo lag. The acceleration is quite smooth. Top speed is about 35 mph at 3930 rpm, and you can cruise at about 30 mph at 3400 with a fuel consumption rate of about 23gallons per hour for a range of about 292 miles.

The cabin is as beautifully decorated as it is practically appointed for stylish comfort, with a double berth offset in the bow, two large upholstered bench settees and an inlaid table, plus an enclosed head and shower. The galley station is compact but functional, with a single-burner electric stove, a small AC/DC fridge under the counter and a microwave above.

The cockpit features a custom leaning post in the middle of the large space with four rod holders where a fighting chair would go, two fish boxes cushioned for additional seating, and a really nice bait prep center with a transom fish box, cutting board, tackle lockers, circulating livewell, and sink with spray hose.
