If Baltimore sailor Bruce Myers hasn’t been there in his Cal 27, he’s been there in his dreams. Or onboard one of the yachts that he helps to move up and down the coast as mate of a boat delivery service. And he sings about all this on his new CD, “Boat Logic,” from BRM Records. The predominate theme of his Buffet-esque collection of 13 original songs is just do it-head for open water, whether it’s for the afternoon or the rest of your life. It’s illogical folly at best, to landlubbers it makes no sense, but that’s boat logic-what can I say? he croons in the title song. Instrumental styles range from Cajun to jazz and add a lively spark to his simple message about the Bayand boating.
The CD costs $14.99 ($2 shipping; Md. residents add 5% sales tax) from BRM Music, P.O. Box 6517, Baltimore, MD 21219; www.boatlogic.com.
